Purpose

Establish that you are comfortable with basic web development skills

Assignment

Create a web site for this course on the phoenix system. This is a unix system, so you will need to be comfortable with editing files in unix, as well as the FTP protocol and permission-setting. A sucessful page will have the following characteristics:

Be accessible from your main phoenix account
Run with correct permission
Demonstrate knowledge of basic unix
Demonstrate basic ability with a text editor or FTP
