Introduction to Programming using Visual Basic

Course Requirements:

Class description

By the end of this course, students will have the skills to design, create, test, and debug a fully functioning windows program. This class is designed for people with some computer experience, but no previous experience with programming or Windows is necessary. The course is designed to teach programming practices which are applicable to any programming environment, but with specific emphasis on the Visual Basic programming language and the Windows operating environment. The class will entail lectures and discussion followed by hands-on exercises. Time to complete programming exercises will be provided in class, but additional lab time may be beneficial to the student. Grades will be based on the following structure: (subject to change, of course)
	Midterm and Final Exam:		50 pts each	100 
 	14 Lab assignments:		10 pts each	140
	Final programming project:	60 pts		 60 
	Total points available:				300
