It is a multidisciplinary graduate program in the forensic sciences. It currently has concentrations in forensic chemistry and biology. It consists of 35 semester hours of class work and research.

No. Students who are employed full time at a forensic science or related laboratory can pursue the MSFS part time.

Full time students should be able to complete the program in no more than two years.

All full time students in the program must complete a master’s thesis. Part time students do not complete a thesis.

Some financial assistance is available in the form of scholarships and teaching and research fellowships. These are determined after acceptance into the program.

There are many jobs available in crime laboratories throughout the country. These vary from time to time and place to place but history has shown that there is a strong demand for people with a graduate degree in forensic science and a strong science background.
