Minor in Computer and Information Science

Requirements

The undergraduate minor in computer and information science requires at least 20 credit hours in computer science courses, including CSCI 23000, 24000, 34000, 36200, and two CSCI elective courses. These electives are to be taken from the approved list of electives for CSCI majors. Course prerequisites must be fulfilled prior to enrollment in CSCI courses.

A minimum GPA of 2.5 must be maintained in these courses. At least 9 credit hours of the minor must be taken at IUPUI.

Students who wish to pursue a minor in computer and information science must consult with a department advisor, who can be reached at (317) 274-9727. Students must also complete a formal application during their last semester at IUPUI after all courses have been completed.

Minor in Business

The Kelly School of Business grants a minor in business to computer and information science students. The business courses are distributed as free elective credit toward the total of 124 credit hours needed for a bachelor's degree. Please consult a Kelly School of Business advisor for information about the minor.
