The Fifth Midwest Security Workshop (MSW)
Saturday, April 26, 2008
IUPUI Campus, Indianapolis

The fifth Midwest Security Workshop (MSW) will be hosted at the Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI).

MSW is an informal forum that promotes interaction between information security researchers in the Midwest. It provides an opportunity for faculty or students to present research-in-progress and receive feedback and constructive criticism.

The workshop will be a one-day event. IUPUI will provide information about local arrangements including suggestions for reasonably-priced hotels if you would like to stay for a night before and/or after the meeting. This workshop follows the four successful MSWs held at De Paul University, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Purdue University and University of Illinois at Chicago. Each of the previous workshops attracted more than 70 participants representing at least 10 Midwestern universities and research laboratories.

The program will include research presentations and a poster session. Attendees may present research-in-progress or work published recently. If you are interested in presenting, please send a title and a one-page abstract to the program chair Venkat Venkatakrishnan (Email: venkat AT cs DOT uic DOT edu) with subject "MSW Submission" by April 16, 2008. Selections will be made by the organizing committee and notifications will be sent by April 20.

NOTE: the abstracts will NOT be peer-reviewed (instead, they will be reviewed and selected directly by organizing committee) and there will be no proceedings of the workshop, so you should not be precluded from submitting this work to peer-reviewed venues for subsequent publication. We encourage work in progress or work published recently.
